ICE Qatar Learned Event The Challenges and Lessons Learned from the Construction of a recently completed Infrastructure project in Doha North, Qatar By Dennis Rush, Senior Resident Engineer, Arcadis Qatar Day/Date: Monday, 19th March 2018 Time: 6:30 to 8:00 PM Location: Rotana City Centre (Location Map) West Bay Overview The Infrastructure project, DN016 in Bani Hajer, Doha North has recently completed construction and is in the handover stage. This presentation will outline the challenges faced, problems encountered and resolved and lessons learned from a particular suburb in Doha, but applicable to many similar multi disciplinary Infrastucture projects in the Middle East. Dennis Rush, Senior Resident Engineer, Arcadis Qatar. After graduating from Queens University, Belfast, Dennis began his career as a Geotech and Hydro Consultant on dam and water supply projects in Southern Africa, notably the Lesotho Highlands and Orange Vaal Water Transfer Projects. He then specialized in the design and construction of Infrastructure and Development Projects in both Africa and the Middle East and is currently working as a Senior Resident Engineer for Arcadis on the Local Roads and Drainage Programme for Ashghal in Doha North.
